First construction paint in Korea to receive the certification, setting a new benchmark for durability in residential buildings
KANGNAM JEVISCO Co., Ltd. (www.jevisco.com), widely known for its flagship “Jebipyo Paint” brand, announced that its jointly developed “Pureunsol DuraShield Primer” with DL E&C has received New Excellent Technology (NeT) certification from Korea’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT). The certification applies to the company’s “Residential Building Durability Enhancement Paint Technology,” which incorporates the high-performance primer.
This marks the first time a paint product used in the construction sector in Korea has earned MOLIT’s NeT certification, a milestone that officially recognizes the technical excellence and on-site applicability of domestic construction paint technology.
The NeT certification is awarded to technologies that demonstrate originality, innovation, and verified field performance, either as entirely new developments or as significant improvements on existing technologies. KANGNAM JEVISCO’s technology was recognized for its innovative contribution to enhancing the durability of exterior walls in multi-family residential buildings.
At the core of this certified technology is GreenSol DuraShield Primer, a high-performance acrylic emulsion–based exterior wall primer with exceptional elasticity and water resistance. Its highly flexible coating responds effectively to micro-cracks commonly formed in concrete walls, creating a robust waterproofing layer. At the same time, it blocks moisture penetration while reducing carbonation, helping prevent long-term structural degradation of concrete.
The product also maintains outstanding durability against external environmental factors such as ultraviolet exposure and rainfall, ensuring stable coating performance over time. By delaying the aging of residential building exteriors, it enables longer repainting cycles and contributes to significant reductions in long-term maintenance costs.
GreenSol DuraShield was first patented in 2021 and received certification from the Korea Concrete Institute in 2022. Since then, KANGNAM JEVISCO and DL E&C have spent nearly four years refining the coating design, conducting field applications, performing technical verification, and carrying out long-term monitoring to continuously enhance the technology. As a result, in December 2025, the system was officially granted NeT Certification No. 1036 for its “Residential Building Durability Enhancement Paint Technology.” The certification provides up to 16 years of technology protection and enables supply to public-sector housing and government-funded construction projects.
