KANGNAM JEVISCO Launches New Water-Based “Aqualac Surfacer White (NEW)” 2026.02.11

Fast-Drying, Lacquer-Level Performance Water-Based Surfacer Improves Work Efficiency

KANGNAM JEVISCO Co., Ltd. (www.jevisco.com

), widely known for its “Jebi” brand paints, announced the launch of its new water-based surfacer, Aqualac Surfacer White (NEW). The product is designed for coating not only wood, but also inorganic substrates such as gypsum board.

The new surfacer delivers fast-drying speed and workability comparable to solvent-based lacquer surfacers, while enhancing the eco-friendly benefits and indoor suitability of water-based coatings.

Aqualac Surfacer White (NEW) applies KANGNAM JEVISCO’s patented Korean technology, a water-based primer formulation for both organic and inorganic substrates. This technology ensures excellent adhesion and durability on a wide range of surfaces, including wood and gypsum board. Its outstanding quick-drying performance significantly reduces recoating time, contributing to higher process efficiency in interior finishing and woodworking applications.

Formulated with high-quality water-based acrylic resin and extender pigments, the product is an interior-use mid- to undercoat suitable for flush doors, door frames, plywood, and gypsum board. Compatible topcoats include Aqualac, Dream Coat All-in-One, High Solid Lacquer, and 7200 Enamel.

In addition, the surfacer offers excellent sanding properties and surface smoothness, improving the efficiency of subsequent finishing processes. Designed with low odor, low VOC, low toxicity, and free of hazardous heavy metals, it helps create a safer and more comfortable indoor working environment. With its competitive pricing, the product is expected to be widely used not only by professional contractors but also by DIY users.

A representative from KANGNAM JEVISCO stated,

“Aqualac Surfacer White (NEW) is a water-based surfacer that delivers stable adhesion and durability across various substrates, backed by JEVISCO’s patented technology. We will continue to develop functional products that enhance performance and work efficiency based on environmentally friendly water-based coating systems.”
